Practice Zones

In the Musician's Way, Gerald Klickstein talks about separating pieces into new, developing and performance categories. I realized that I perhaps don't pay enough attention to this. That is I don't deliberately evaluate whether a particular piece is concert ready or not. This categorization gives focus to practice sessions and confidence in being able to play in front of people. Just something to think about for the future.
